
An integral part of the One in a Million Alternative Education, our Community Department prides itself in its easy to access sports and arts programmes for children and young people of all ages. Providing clear progression pathways we have the privilege of helping young people to further develop themselves through sports education and volunteering opportunities.
TWILIGHT FOOTBALL
If you’re 12-19 years old, like the fast paced action of 5 a-side football; Twilight Football could be for you. These are 12 week tournaments where you play against young people from all across Bradford. To participate all you need is a team of 5 lads, plus 1 or 2 subs and a responsible team manager. No experience required, just a desire to play football!

ATHLETICS
If you’re 7-11 years old, like running, jumping, throwing and generally all things athletics; this could be for you. Run during term time and under the care of our qualified coaches, we’ll work with you to run faster, jump and throw further.
MULTI SPORTS SESSION
Are you 7-11 years old and like a lot of different sports? Why not try our multi sport session? These run alongside the Twilight Football and deliver a mixture of football, cricket and athletics. Come and enjoy an hour of sports with children from across Bradford. If you’re shy – why not bring a friend?!
COMMUNITY SESSIONS
Do you like art, dancing, music, a bit of cooking or sport; are you aged between 7 and 11 years? Then our mid-week after school community session could be for you. Delivered at present at the local community centre on the Canterbury estate, here you will get the opportunity to express yourself in a variety of different ways!
Are you aged 12-19 years and would like to achieve your Junior Sports Leaders Award or the Sports Leaders Award? Our week day accreditation session is for you. Currently delivered at the local community centre on the Canterbury estate, here you will get the opportunity to achieve and strengthen your personal qualifications.
BOYS & GIRLS FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
If you’re looking to improve your football skills and aged 7-11, this is the place for you. Run by our own qualified coaches along with Bradford City AFC, we’ll help you maximise your potential and who knows where that will lead!
SCHOOLS WORK
If you’re a local school or in education, this could be for you. One in a Million has developed a unique school’s programme that utilises multiple sports to deliver key stage, multi skilled child development lessons. After an initial consultation, our team of qualified school coaches will produce and deliver a tailored programme that meets your children’s specific requirements.
