Rotary Quiz In Aid Of Local Charities

Rotary Club Quiz Flyer
The Rotary Club of Bradford Bronte is hosting a Presidential Challenge Quiz at Bradford Grammar School in aid of three local charities.

The event, on Friday 4 February, promises to be a night to remember with the quiz taking on a showbiz feel and money raised will be donated to One in a Million, Martin House and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Andrew Idle, President of the Rotary Club of Bradford Bronte said:  “This event will be a quiz with a showbiz difference and will help these three local charities that make a difference to so many people’s lives.”

This is the second planned event by the Rotary Club of Bradford Bronte to benefit One in a Million after the cancelled Aagrah event in December.

The Rotary Club of Bradford Bronte has also issued a poem to commemorate the event, written by the host for the evening Darren Kelly:

Help cries a voice, can you get here?

The pain is atrocious, on my face, there’s a tear.

Then comes a sound, oh yes there’s a chance.

The propellers mean hope, Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Help cries a child, my mummy’s upset.

The doctor says my name, it won’t be long yet.

But we know of a place, that can help our family.

For love and support, Martin House in Wetherby.

Help cries a teenager, I just need a chance.

I’ve got talents to use, my life you’ll enhance.

Football is my dream, I don’t not play like a Brazilian.

But I learn teamwork and hope, One in a Million.

Yes, calls Bradford Bronte, of course we’ll be there.

Rotary will help, it’s our nature to care.

Bradford Grammar School, Feb 4th is the date.

The Fun starts at 7, Now don’t you be late!

Mr Idle added:  “The poem was written to show that the Rotary is a caring organisation, supporting extremely worthwhile causes locally, nationally and internationally.”

A team of 10 will cost £100 with a full bar and a light buffet available.

Rotary International in Britain and Ireland (RIBI) has over 55,000 members and run countless humanitarian projects across the globe.
